Viljam Borissenko becomes board member of foundation
Since July this year Viljam Borissenko has held the position of board member of the foundation alongside existing board member Liis Borissenko. Viljam was a member of the team of the Village of Hope rehabilitation centre for a long time. In 2003 he reached out to the Village of Hope himself: he was a heroin addict, but completed both the rehabilitation programme and the Serving Leadership Programme. Thereafter he started working for the Village of Hope, first as the manager of its sawmill, then as the programme manager and finally as a Management Board member and CEO. Viljam was also a member of the prison committee at Tallinn Prison and a member of the crisis committee at Kernu municipality, and he has attended various seminars in Russia as well as the USA that complement his ability to work with addicts.
