The project of the Public Foundation of Hope: “Preparation of an action plan for improving the quality of the rehabilitation work of alcohol and drug addicts of the NGO network”, received support from the round of applications preparing for the development leap of the National Foundation of Civil Society (NFCS). The total cost of the project was 4,000 euros.
The goal was the mapping and analysis of development needs to improve the service quality of organizations that resocialize alcohol and drug addicts based on Christian values, the final result of which is an action plan for the creation of a competence center for partners.
In the course of the project, we conducted development needs mapping interviews with representatives of six different NGOs, as well as interviews with clients who are directly targeted by the services of the aforementioned organizations. We met with local government and state agencies The National Institute for Health Development , Estonian Unemloyement Insurance Fund , to map the possibilities for cooperation and get the necessary directions for the action plan. We got acquainted with various organizations operating in the field – SA Viljandi Hospital addiction treatment and rehabilitation center, Tallinn Social Work Center, Võlanõustajad OÜ and ReCuro OÜ.
The project period was 1.04 – 31.07.2022, and the project was advised by NFCS’s development expert Jaan Aps.
The project was aimed at increasing the durability and sustainability of the service provided by the organizations based on the objectives of the Population Health Development Plan 2020-2030.
